Okay, so about the mindset piece of things…

 

 

You may be a little like me, depending on where you are in your business. I struggled for the first 3-4 years of my business, thinking that the key to success was going to be found in “the perfect script, sizzle line, opening statement, company video and so on…”

 

 

It wasn’t until I realized that my lack of belief in my own ability to be successful, or rather my doubts around it, were what was holding me back and stunting my success.

 

 

So, how important is mindset? You hear all of the time that you need to be working on personal development each day - 10-20 minutes. What are you reading, listening to and so on? Right.

 

And let me ask you - how much time ARE you spending on this?

 

Here is a clue - if your immediate thought is, I don’t need this - you DO.

 

Everyone is looking for the perfect script, and tactics and all of that.

 

But here is the real catch - without the right mindset, you simply will not keep going. You will not get past the bad calls, and the bad times and the bad days. And, those are gonna come.

 

Why does the person who hears no twice in a day quit? Lack of mindset. It has to be because you can look around

 

 

Look at your results instead of what you THINK you know? How much are you making again?

 

If it’s not where you want it to be, it’s STILL mindset.

 

Even for the 6 figure earner who wants to go to 7.

 

 

Let’s talk about some simple steps that you can take to strengthen your mindset and move yourself forward.

 

 

First, decide what you want - SERIOUSLY - decide! Don’t just wish, dream and hope. Make a decision. Your actions on a daily and weekly basis show whether or not you have decided.

 

Indecision is extremely costly. It will rob you of years, if you aren’t careful. On the one hand, you want THIS, and on the other hand, you aren’t willing to do THAT to make it happen.

 

You are on one side of the river, and your goal is on the other. You just cross the river to get there. So, how are you going to cross the river? What are your choices?

 

 

Second, work daily on building your belief muscle. Start by looking at limiting beliefs from your past -

 

Money

Weight

MLM

 

and so on. What comes to mind when you think of each of these? Are there negative beliefs there? How can you change that story?

 

Money is…..

MLM is…..

Success is….

What others say about me is…..

 

See if there is any negative and just replace that with positive.

 

 

Third, write your vision. Get into your imagination for this.

 

Write out your perfect day -

 

Where, who, what, fun, business, people, money, travel and so on.

 

Read it DAILY!

 

 

Fourth, affirm it. Along with reading your vision, speak it into existence. Record it in your own voice. Do it on your smartphone or computer and save the mp3 to replay for yourself, over and over and over again. This is POWERFUL.

 

Speak affirmations looking into your eyes in the mirror each day. Smile when you do it. Pay attention to thoughts and feelings.

 

Write out some powerful - I AM statements.

 

 

Fifth - determine your daily and weekly business action plan to take you where you want to go. What do you NEED to be doing? You know what that is, so are you doing it?

 

If you are not, why not? What that tells me in the beginning is that your stated GOAL, or what you’ve decided you WANT is not something you are committed to. Not really.

 

 

Your calendar will always show your level of commitment to achieving what you say you want.

 

 

Sixth, track it all. Get a notebook or daytimer and just take simple notes each day on what you do. # of calls, follow ups and business building activities. Each week, write your goals and intentions for the week ahead, and at the end of the week, review it.

 

How are you doing? Be honest with yourself. What can you change or improve on, or do you need to?

 

 

Finally, be grateful and acknowledge yourself. Be a tough nut, and also a good cheerleader for yourself. Keep a gratitude journal. 

 

Stop saying or thinking - I’ll be happy when….

 

Look around each day and find 10 things to be grateful for. They don’t have to be big WOW things.

 

If the only prayer you ever say in your whole life is Thank You, that would suffice. Meister Eckhart

 

 

ACTION ITEMS!!!

 

 

Take each of the 6 steps seriously and incorporate them into your life.

 

Start a gratitude journal.

 

Record your affirmations and I AM statement
