Fear and Moving Past It

In the the first part of the book, and Show 219, we covered Fears, truths about fear, moving from pain to power and more.

So, here are the notes from today’s show:

Are you playing “victim” or taking responsibility? Do you know what responsibility means? Beyond taking care of yourself?

You can’y control always what happens IN life but you can control how you experience and react to what happens.

Taking responsibility means:

Never blaming another for anything you are doing, being, having or feeling. Not blaming yourself - stuff happens sometimes, and there is just no one to blame. Being aware of when you are NOT taking responsibility so you can shift that. Handling your own chatterbox, and inner critic and self talk! Being aware of “payoffs” and how they keep you stuck. Figuring out what you want in life and then acting on it. Being aware that you have many choices in any given situation.

Some exercises you may choose to do -

List the payoffs that keep you stuck in any situation. How does this allow you to not face certain things? What do you not have to do? Be aware of all options you have throughout the day. Use a notebook to journal about things that happen and the options you have for feeling about it and acting on it. Pay attention to what you say in conversations with others. Do you complain or gossip? What gifts have you received from situations that you might have looked at as bad at the time they occurred? Go one week without being critical or gossiping about anyone else. Even to yourself!

Some people may call you a Pollyanna for your positive viewpoint. Oh well!

Use a morning routine to reinforce your positive changes. Record an MP3 of your affirmations, your visualizations; write them out; take a photo and store on your smartphone to review at least twice daily.
